In 1995, Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) did away with the “Open out Cry” method of trading; LSE adopted a computerized trading module prepared by a team of brokers lead by Mr. Asim Zafar in Lahore. The software package developed also included Carry Over Trade (COT) and Negotiated Trade, which were unique and had been specifically evolved in our sub-continent.
In 1999, Zafar Securities Ltd became a corporate member of Lahore Stock Exchange Ltd (PSX). ZSL acquired the corporate membership of National Commodity Exchange Ltd, now Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Ltd (PMEX). In 2003, ZSL was the first brokerage house in Punjab to start on-line trading which gave its clients the opportunity to online trading and make their own decisions without any dependence on brokerage houses or traders. It became the first brokerage house in Pakistan to simultaneously offer its clients two trading platforms i.e. Karachi Stock Exchange trading floor and the Lahore trading floor.
ZSL has served more than 12,000 individuals as well as institutional clients through branches in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Jhang. Our clients are spread all over the world and are trading online while sitting in the comfort of their homes.
